Chapter 21 - Phone Call
Bella wakes up knowing that it was the wrong time of day to be asleep. She walks out to find Jasper and Alice examining a sketch of Alice’s vision. Bella names the location as her mother’s house, and becomes worried. She returns to her room and sleeps. She wakes up again to find Jasper gone. Phone rings for her. Apparently, it’s the killer, who had tricked Alice into giving Bella the phone by feigning her mother’s voice. (Implied: her mother held hostage) The killer asks Bella if she can get out, and Bella naively says yes. She hangs up and writes a letter to Edward (in her handwriting), telling Alice to give this to her mother.
