Chapter 20 - Impatience

Bella wakes up, uncertain about her whereabouts. The generic look of the room gives away that she’s in a hotel room. She recalls the vigil of the flight from Washington to Arizona, her head on Alice’s shoulders, as her tears sogged up her shirt. Alice receives a vision that something’s changed. Carlisle calls, and Bella speaks to Edward on the phone; they’re in Vancouver and had lost the tracker shortly earlier. Alice had started to draw the room she saw in her vision. Bella immediately recognizes it as a ballet room, mentioning that there’s one at the corner of the street where she used to live. They fear for Bella’s mother, so Bella calls her mother and leaves a message to call her back at their cell.

Albeit the book was written a few years ago, the revolution in cheap/ubiquitous cellphones makes this scene outdated. :-(
